The title, SETH A Dark Assasins World Novella, makes the book sound dark and bloody, yet I found this to be an incredibly uplifting novel.To be honest, I don’t like violent vampire stories, so imagine my delight when I discovered these vamps, shifters et all are rather like humans. They all just want to be loved. Now that is a story I can get behind.
The middle half had a bit too explicit sex for me, but given the sexy cover, I wasn’t surprised, I just read on because it was a fabulous story. (I don’t slam an author for having more or less sex than I want. I’m there for the story line, not the titillation. But others could be there for the sex, and I don’t want to ruin their enjoyment, so I don’t judge).
The author has written a great storyline and a positive message of family…if your original family doesn’t want you, then make your own. No one in world needs to be lonely.
This novella packs a powerful, positive punch even as it entertains you.

I liked this book. The story was well written and though it doesn't really have a new twist on vampires or shape shifters it wasn't boring. Really good book to try if you want a good quick read. Fully recommend.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. This is the first book that I have read by Valerie Ullmer. It was a good book. I did not know that this book was 2.5 in the series. It is not what think what vampire book is. It does have any action in it. I can't wait to read more books by Ullmer. I will recommend this book.
I really liked this one! What can be better than a parormal book. I fell in love with Seth and Aubrey, you cant help cheering for them. Thi is a short read and my very first book of Valerie Ulmer. I cant wait to read previous books of hers

I wasn't really sure what to expect with this book. Seth and Aubrey are both great characters and I really enjoyed this paranormal romance.
It was apparent early on that this is part of a series, but it really didn't impact my enjoyment having not read any of the other stories. I must say I'm rather intrigued now and will pick up the first one.
Quick read at less than 2 hours. Fun and enthralling.
This piece was surprisingly well done in regards to its composition until I got to about the tenth chapter then for some reason the punctuation went awry. not only that but the 'voice' changed after the fourth or fifth chapter. In the beginning, it was lame. Methodical, droning on and on, then things changed and the story started to flow. It actually got interesting.
Then it changed again. When Seth and Aubrey got together suddenly it's all about mating, that was the focus. No conflicts, some superficial doubts, no real challenges. And definitely no outside threats. It becomes a huge hug fest. For a group of assassins, there were no references to any encounters.
I can't really dislike this book, I just can't like it.

When I think of vampire/shifter books, I think action. There is no action in this one. There is a lot of hugging and tears, but no conflict or excitement. Just a good old fashion love story. So if you like that, then you will love this one.
Aubrey and Seth are good together. The chemistry between the two is hot. I think I might have enjoyed this better if I had read the first two books. The way Seth describes his life to Aubrey, it sounds like there was some action in the other books.
There is a HEA with no cliffhanger.
